General Information
Sherrard Elementary is one of two buildings in the Sherrard Community Unit School district that houses grades K - 4. Currently, the school has an enrollment of 240 students with 2-3 sections of each grade level. Regular education classrooms are self-contained with an average of 17-25 students per classroom. Students are provided with a curriculum that includes language arts, mathematics, science, and social sciences. Physical Education, art and music classes are offered throughout the week. Sherrard Elementary has special education services available for all students who qualify. Students in the regular education program are provided with support from our Special Reading teachers. RtI interventions are provided for students that have been identified as needing extra help.

Heading south on US 67 out of Milan, Illinois, travel approximately 7.4 miles.
Turn left (east) onto County Road NN and travel 3.3 miles.
Turn right (south) onto County Road L. Follow (1 mile) as road goes into County Highway 5. Travel .4 mile and turn left (east) onto 1st Street. Travel .5 of a mile on 1st Street. The school will be on the left side of the road.
Heading north on US 67 out of Viola, Illinois, travel approximately 7.1 miles.
Turn right (east) in Preemption, Illinois on to 170th Avenue (CR-2). Travel 3.8 miles, turning left at the edge of town (Sherrard) on to 7th Avenue (CR-5). Travel .2 of a mile and turn right on to 1st Street. Travel .5 of a mile on 1st Street. The school will be on the left side of the road.
